Issue description
So, I know 2020.5 will mainly focus on updating Minecraft 1.16, but I found that the New/Existing Player variables and NBT Tags either sync through the client, or just get deleted when you die or leave the game. I think just a simple "PLAYER_MAP" variable would be super helpful.
Use PLAYER_LIFETIME for this.
This would be a bug if player vars do this. Open new ticket with minimal reproducible example then.
