Topic category: Mod showcase and discussion
Are you looking for a few mods to include in your modpack, a little bit of inspiration or just something new to do in your survival world? And does it bother you that to find a few good mods you have to scroll through hundreds of random ruby mods?
Well, no worries, because that's exactly why this catalogue was created! It lists many good mods that can easily be added to your modpack, all of them briefly described and sorted by dimensions and category.
(The fact they are sorted by dimensions does not mean big mods are better or took more effort to be made than the littler ones, this distinction only exists because you might sometimes just be looking for a few little mods to add to the modpack without having to get one hundred more dimensions.)
Obviously this list doesn't include every good mod, there are thousands of awesome mods and I can't know and remember them all. Also, quality is subjective. This means this list will often be updated with other mods!
And don't be offended if your mod isn't here, I might have just forgotten to write it XD. You can always write down the name of a few mods you consider good (including yours) and I will consider adding them to the list :).
If the mod doesn't feel original enough to be here (we don't want to overload this list and the creators who actually put effort in their mods might get offended), you will be given advice on how to improve it, and if the mod improves it will be added to the list :).
So, let's try to be friendly and respect the rules, and remember that this list is not official (Klemen, if you feel this topic would not be healthy for the community you can always close it).
Please notice that I did not test all of these mods and I am not responsible for any damage caused to your world!
Many of these mods fit multiple categories, but I chose the one that characterise the mod the most. I created a specific category for dimensions, even if dimensions are not the main goal of the mod. Biome category doesn't just list mods that add new biomes, but also mods that are themed around a vanilla biome (Nether, End and caves are considered "biomes"). If you think some of these mods should change category just tell me :)
So, with no further ado, here's the list!
(more links and descriptions coming soon!)
Minecraft versions listed in the mods' summary include all versions the mod has been compatible to since it was created, but some downloads might be outdated or even removed.

Added both mods to the list :)
Thanks a lot :)
thx
I wrote the descriptions, last time I was in a hurry XD
Thanks :)
Oops you made me realise I made a typo XD
so will any good mod be added? (if yes please add WildCraft (big): https://mcreator.net/modification/65799/wildcraft)
Added (in the medium-sized section though because the big section is for really huge mods XD)
In that case I should try to make a mod even bigger than Raolcraft Omega. Which I should start on fast since it will take time to add even more items than Raolcraft Omega
No, wait, just don't XD
Don't make a mod with the goal of making it big. RaolCraft is a huge mess which I am slowly trying to fix, don't follow that example. Try to plan your mod or add features following an idea or an inspiration.
Add features and ideas you think would be useful, creative or innovative, don't create a mod to fill it with random materials and blocks.
If you really want to make a big mod make sure it adds useful features, put quality as your goal, please don't make another (bigger) RaolCraft XD
I have planned out what I am going to add.
It will include a lot of mobs and a few dimensions and a lot of bosses and some blocks and more food options.
ok what is minimum requirement (file size) for big mod section? (btw my mod is 2MB now)
@McModded1.14 Good luck on your project then :)
@bananarang_mods There is no strict requirement, it usually depends on how many blocks, items, etc. it adds. Some features (like dimensions) count more than others, especially if they have many sub-biome, etc.
I tend to compare them to my mods (RaolCraft and Hodge-Podge are big, Pyromancy is medium-sized and Modular Expansion and The Ultimate Plan are little), but sometimes it can be hard to choose XD
