Fuel remains in furnace after reaching limit

Works as designed
Issue description

I'm having an issue with getting the fuel source (a custom coal/texture/item) to behave correctly.  (Using Test Client 1.12.2)

If I do not check the "Does item stay in crafting grid when crafted?" to enable it, the fuel/coal stays in the furnace permanently even after reaching the tick point to no longer burn the block in the top.

Settings: Fuel source has Power of fuel: 800
Fuel Item (coal): Max item usage duration: 4
Item damage count: 2
Does item stay in crafting grid when crafted: true

If I put the coal in the furnace and 5+ blocks to smelt, I see the fuel level dropping when it gets to the fourth block.  However, if there are more blocks it resumes full power and continues to burn indefinitely while there are blocks being added.

If I DO check the "Does item stay in crafting grid when crafted?" to disable it, the fuel/coal starts to burn the first block and disappears but still burns the same as above (endlessly).

Also - I see that we cannot submit more than one bug/support per day, which doesn't make sense - I would have hoped you'd want to hear about bugs/issues sooner rather than later.  Is there something I need to do to be able to do this?  I've seen several issues already but doing one per day means you don't know about them and I have to spend countless days to report all the issues - doesn't seem very helpful to either of us.  I don't expect an answer daily, but at least at some point.  Thanks -Steve

This is how it was designed in Minecraft. Right now, on our side, there is not much that we can do to fix this to make it work as you want. Does item stay in crafting grid is meant to only be used for crafting and not for smelting.

There is a very small group of people working on MCreator and we can't offer support for many tickets. We have this limit to make it possible to read through all the issues. This support is free and based on our good will and thus the limit.

I'm going to disagree here with respect to the design of smelting.  There are no issues with using coal in the smelter and it works as it is designed.  The values set do burn the # of items it is supposed to, but there is a loop going on and keeping the fuel burning indefinitely - literally!  I left it smelting with one coal for 20 minutes watching the flames go down, then refill and start all over again.  Seems like there may just be a logic bug that isn't catching when the ticks are complete, it should remove the item/coal from the furnace and then stop as normal.  At least that's how it works on my 6 servers (Spigot, Forge and Sponge Forge) that I own & manage.

I understand about the low resources and get that.  Nearly all the plugins and mods out there, that's how it works too.  We all have full time jobs and work on this when we can because we enjoy it.  Restricting bug flow coming in doesn't help you see the bigger picture of quality.  Having too many items, well that's never a good thing of course, but shows users interest in making it better to help you. At some point I'd hope, you'd remove the restrictions so you can find out where all the issues are and where enhancements make sense.  Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying learning this app and it has saved me many hours or writing java code that is automated here.  I'm all for contributing, donating and subscribing to help YOU and help all its users by doing so.  But one question, suggestion or bug per day will only frustrate users to the point of looking elsewhere for another tool and that's not good for business.

If you'd like to talk about alternatives, strategies and suggestions feel free to direct email me. I'm on discord as well if that helps.  I've been in this business for over 30 years, so I have the experience to help. :-)  Thanks for your time and support, I do appreciate it.
