Is MCreator bugged? How do I fix this? (Sword bug, 1.5 not working)

Is MCreator bugged? When I set the item thingy to 1.5 instead of 1 or 2> (i tried 1.6 also) it still doesn't become a sword! It becomes an item instead of a sword or tool.
