Loading Backups

Issue description

A few hours ago my mod completely broke, can't start minecraft with the mod. I messed around alot so Im thinking its not easy to fix. That's why I simply want to open a backup file. I did find the backup folder but I cannot find any way to load these backups into mcreator.

Issue comments

There is backups folder in <workspace folder>/.mcreator. Just copy one of the backup files that you think that will still work based on the date of backup and move it to <workspace folder> and rename it to <your modid>.mcreator

I need help I'm making a 1.17 mod I accidentally clicked pull instead of sync and lost like 80 mod elements that I made the textures of. I did as you guys said but now it says like the mod element wasent created and I need to remake it. The thing is I lost all the textures.

it's not working. Please show a video or some thing.

I imported a blockbench file and it says that there already a file that exists with same name, i deleted all remaints of the blockbench file but now when i try to test my mod it just a=says what it did when the blockbench file was there.

Thank You SOOOO much. My workspace just randomly deleted ALL of my variables, like every single one! there must of been 300 of them. I was seriously FREAKING OUT. But crisis averted thanks to you!

I can not figure it out. EVERY thing in my workspace got deleted and the backups do not work!

Hello, i need help with my mod i tried to open backup of my mod but when i look in my backup fold it does not show the files however if i look in the backup folder without mcreator the backups appears .

i have not explained my problem yet so i will. I tried to update my mcreator from 2023.3 to 2023.4, everything was fine and all with 2023.3 but after uploading to 2023.4 it corrupted all my 230 mod elements and now mcreator doesn't want to show the backups in the backup folder even when backups are in the folder(i checked the folder to see if backup were in the folder without using mcreator and they were in the folder)

You need to import backups not open them, and only ZIP backups are supported. .mcreator file backups are for internal use.

I can not stress enough how important is to make manual backups and to test MCreator snapshots and not just the full release to prevent things like this from happening.

Did you use any plugins?
