How to make a Jetpack.
Mon, 03/23/2015 - 20:57 (edited)

Hello everyone, my name is saibot0.

Today i'm gonna be teaching you how to make a Jetpack.

It's actually just armor with a texture.

1. Create a jetpack texture (and an armor texture for the jetpack)

2. Choose the mod: Armor

3. Choose the texture you made (you can put it on helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots)

4. Disable the armor you aren't using. (if you use the chestplate, disable the Helmet,Leggings and Boots)

5. Click ''Add Event'' on the armor you use (i use chestplate for the jetpack)

6. Click ''Custom Code'', and paste in this code:

if(true){
if(world.isRemote)
entity.capabilities.allowFlying = true;
}

7. Then, add the event.

8. Add a new event, with ''Custom Code'', and type in:

{

entity.fallDistance = 0.0F;
}

9. You add the event, and you are DONE!

Now you should be able to fly in survival, without taking ANY fall damage.

Hey this was one of the posts

Hey this was one of the posts I been looking for you have to fire another command to disable the fly, in my last test as I was sick of doing checks where the check works find but the fly part never did so I create a Fly Items(was a fly) and then linked it to aGUI

Added 2 buttons and added this

[spoiler]

  if (button.id == 0) {

                if (true) {
                    entity.capabilities.allowFlying = true;
                    entity.capabilities.isFlying = true;
                    entity.fallDistance = 0.0F;
                }

            }

            if (button.id == 1) {

                if (true) {
                    entity.capabilities.allowFlying = false;
                    entity.capabilities.isFlying = false;
                    entity.fallDistance = 0.0F;
                }

            }

[/spoiler]

It enables and disables the user fly mode like a dream, the fall value does need changing I set mine to 3 but you set it to what ever you want but for MC 1.10.2 in MCR 1.7.1 it works for me I got the is Flying from a normal forge plugin that uses basic fly seems to work fine the logic seemed to fit.

Just add another event that spawns particles.

If you want to recreate this in Mcreator 1.7.9+ you just need this procedure:

Allow provided player to fly if true

Override fall distance of entity with 0

Spawn particles
