Help with Crafting Recipes
Mon, 08/03/2015 - 22:06

I had two problems when trying to make my first mod:

1. I would like a Custom Block to turn into 9 Items in the crafting table. However, the crafting recipe for this only works for one place on the grid. For example, if I set the recipe such that the Block placed in the middle turns into 9 Items, it only works for that speicifc position. I would like to make it like the Block of Iron in the actual game, where the user can place the Block anywhere in the grid and still create 9 Iron Ingots.

2. I would like to make it so that when I destroy blocks, the particles of that specific block flies out. How do you do that?

For 1.: Simply add a new Recepie mod and click on shapeless.

For 2.: Go to the events of your Block and add "spawn particle" at "Player Destroyed Block"(or so, don't really know the name...).

Actually, there isn't a spawn particle option. What do I do?

For example, when the ore is destroyed, it doesn't create the particles of the ore like other ores (for example, destory iron ore creates iron particles) but has the default purple/black particles spawning around it.
