What you could do is add an event when you right click the block it will turn day. I saw another mod do this in their mod. Lets say you on a server. Instead of all going to bed only one needs to do it.

@#1 I already tried that but it doesnt server the purpose of sleeping because i am also using a mod requiring sleep or else you start to get bad effects (because you are tired) but if you just set the time to day that wont act as sleeping. Is there anyway to actually sleep like when you use a bed? or is there a way to retexture the bed and only make it one block instead of 2 long? like can i make a custom model for the bed and it still funtions as a bed? if so, please let me know

Unfortunately, I do not think there is a way to do this. You could do as the other people suggested but I see why you can't. Maybe you could try to do something else.
