I'm gonna repeat myself.

I need a block to cause an "on update tick" event only if it's placed on another specific block.

Use the "update tick" event

Use the "update tick" event with the condition "blockAt[i, j, k] ==" and then select your specific block. Repeat the process with different blocks in your event conditions if you want multiple blocks to trigger your event.

@#1

The condition has no effect. I only want it to work if the block is placed on top of the other specific block. So I set the coordinates to [i,j-1,k]. It doesn't work.
