MCreator setup failed!
Sun, 09/18/2016 - 05:05

I am trying to install mcreator. When I loaded the application after installing it, an error box popped up. Here is the error I could copy:

Executing gradle command: cleanCache clean setupDecompWorkspace --refresh-dependencies

To honour the JVM settings for this build a new JVM will be forked. Please consider using the daemon: https://docs.gradle.org/2.7/userguide/gradle_daemon.html.
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Unable to start the daemon process.
This problem might be caused by incorrect configuration of the daemon.
For example, an unrecognized jvm option is used.
Please refer to the user guide chapter on the daemon at https://docs.gradle.org/2.7/userguide/gradle_daemon.html
Please read the following process output to find out more:
-----------------------
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
* Try:
Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.
C:\Pylo\MCreator170\forge>

What does it mean? I would very much like to resolve this error so I can start using this program :)

I found the solution! (Did some digging starting with @strangest's link, thanks man)

Strangely enough, the solution for me was to install a defragging program (Defraggler from Priform) and defrag my computer. After that, the installation was complete!

I'm leaving this here so people who need answers in the future can see it.
