Any ideas on how I can rotate the currently targeted block?
Thu, 04/27/2017 - 11:30 (edited)

I'm trying to run what I think should be a simple console command to rotate the currently targeted block by 90 degrees. Can't seem to get it right!

I've tried all sorts of things, but mainly it keeps failing when I try to do something like:

/tp [r=1,type=modname:blockname] ~ ~ ~ ~90 ~

or this:

/entitydata @e[r=10,type=modname:blockname] {Rotation:[90f,0f]}

In either case, it complains that it can't find the entity. :(

The block I am trying to target in my test is just a simple custom block I made in my mod (some furniture-related stuff).

Maybe there is some easier way to do this? At any rate, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Blocks aren't entities...they

Blocks aren't entities...they aren't affected from entitydata or tp but from blockstate, setblock, fill or similar...
See the nuparo's tutorial for seeing how to rotate blocks.
