Prevent blockstate JSON files from being overwritten?
Mon, 05/01/2017 - 10:27 (edited)

Somewhat self-explanatory. If you custom one of the Pylo\MCreator175\user\json\blockstates\*.json files, it can (and will) eventually get overwritten during a build. I'd like to prevent that.

The reason for my request is that MCreator doesn't currently support blocks that are facing/oriented. If you have modded the source code to the block to add this functionality in, and customized the associated json file, it works great. And you can lock the source code from being overwritten, but not the JSON file. So it becomes a PITA to have to go back through dozens of JSON files to re-customize them again. Hope this makes sense!

Is there currently someway to do this? Admin/mod, feel free to move this thread to the suggestions forum if we need to go that route.

This topic has been moved as this is not a feature right now. We have added this to our idea list so once devs have time to implement this, it will be added.
