Custom Armor Texture
Tue, 08/20/2013 - 03:59

I made some armor textures, but I can't upload them to Mcreator. Is there some way I can use them without having to use Mcreator's crappy armor creator thing?

Tried to find a loophole.

For the armor icons, you can just insert those as textures, but the armor itself has to be in the armor creator. MCreator should add a feature for custom armor soon... I can't find a way around it either.

Its super easy to do it took
Wed, 01/08/2014 - 01:36

Its super easy to do it took me some time to remember how i found out "one of my bright thoughts"
but this is how you do it:
Get the basic layout for armor you will need both layer_1 and layer_2 next open it with paint.net edit it to your liking save like "myarmor_layer_1" and "myarmor_layer_2" (keep the name lower case) next open C:\Pylo\MCreator\mcp\temp\src\minecraft\assets\minecraft\textures\models\armor and copy and past the armor in there and then go to C:\Pylo\MCreator\user\textures and create a folder called "armor" (no caps)
after past the armor in there. now try to make your armor this should work with the mapping problem... some time you will get pink and black armor texture, I still have to find out the cause of that. but if it you get that xport the mod anyways and open the zip up with winrar or 7zip and there should be a folder called armor in this dir: yourmod.zip\assets\minecraft\textures\armor it worked for me doing it that way but try that i hope it helps

I have a way

so first go to the armor texture generator and make one, then you go to the directory of the mod and go to textures

then you find the folder that says armor, and finally open the two textures in paint of some other app (piskel for example).

save the file and then you are done.

Hmmm... Nova skin lets you create armor texture. Then in MCreator click import armor texture and insert those textures
