Json/FBX/OBJ/DAE... model
Thu, 05/07/2020 - 17:46 (edited)

So I created a model using Blender, more accurately, a boat. It can being exported in many formats including FBX,OBJ,Collada,...

There's just to much, lots of them I don't even recognize.

See Mcreator only supports Java Models for entities, maybe for animation purposes. Can I convert the code then?

Can Json be used for Entities instead of just blocks/items cuz I know it's possible.

I think it would benefit if more models types are supported. So maybe I can use OBJ for entities in the future. That'd be cool.

What about the textures?

Please help.

OBJ model is limited and not even supported directly by vanilla. Forge adds the OBJ system. I doubt they will ever support OBJ for entities, let alone even support OBJ for any the upcoming versions as it is really not stable.

Rule of thumb is: JSON for items and blocks, JAVA for entities

No, as it does not support animations and is not supported by Minecraft.
