This is actually pretty impressive for a first-time mod. I do have a few suggestions you might want to consider though:
1- Make your mobs drop things. It does not matter what, but I personally hate mobs with no drops. It makes them seem kind of pointless.
2- decrease the generation rate of your mossy cobblestone "shrines" When I tested the mod, there was one of them on almost every chunk.
3- write or show how to get to the Jungle in your mod description. I tried everything I could think of as a portal frame and none of them worked.

Sounds awesome! I have a suggestion for the dimension. There would be a rare hole, entwined with vines and thorns, in jungles, that would have a portal in it. Then, to get out of The Jungle, you would have to craft a device made out of multiple bug drops, including that of the Queen Bee.
