MCreator Survey - Paid version of MCreator

Based on the results of our first survey on the PRO version of MCreator, we decided to make another one, this time with more specific questions.

We believe that the community is the one that should help us shape the future. MCreator, as is, would stay free, but we would offer a PRO version too, just to clear this up first :) And we won't limit free version in any way that would limit the possibilities of mod making itself and we wouldn't nerf existing features of MCreator.

Each answer will help us decide on how to shape the future of MCreator better

Based on your responses on the first survey, we have decided to make an estimate of how our PRO version would look like. Our current planned features of paid version are (of course they are subject to change based on your recommendations in the survey):

Planned features for a paid version

MCreator software:

  • Option to release mods under a custom license
  • Option to export debranded mods (without "Made with MCreator" in the mod description and links to the website)
  • Option for collaborative work in groups with version control
  • Possible option to become part of a beta testing program

MCreator website:

  • A shorter delay between opening two tickets on our issue tracker
  • Option to disable ads on the website
  • More disk space for mod page files
  • Profile badge

Why an annual subscription model?

Our current idea is to go with the annual subscription model. This is because many of these features such require us to host additional servers to make these work. It would not be possible to make this without a subscription model as we can't afford to host these servers indefinitely without at least annual income from the users who use these services. The same goes with more disk space and extended support for such users.

We are looking forward to the results of the survey as we see a paid version of MCreator as an option to get more resources to hire more developers and dedicate more existing development time for MCreator. This way we can fix bugs faster and add more new features.

And stay tuned for next MCreator release, as we have something very big ready for you and we are leaving hints already ;)

You forgot something in the mini-Feature bonus list,
Update Notice of our Mod! You said it may be in the commercial version on my ticket

I don't like this. Soon you will start cutting off features from the free version, won't you?

Maybe you could make it so people with the paid version get a beta for the next update in a different file.

The thing is, you can't make a paywall for mods.
In other words, if someone makes a mod, and you NEED to pay for that mod, it is against the EULA..
But the overall idea of this is good, but people should not be able to make money with mods. Yes people should be able to donate to the author, but not behind a ad-wall. I hope you see what I mean.
Don't get me wrong, I like the idea, but it should be known as well that people will misuse it somehow

Commercial usage is not just selling the mod but also sharing it using adf.ly for example, or using it on a commercial Minecraft server. Commercial usage of mods is not the only reason / feature that made us decide to think about doing this.

It's fine if you make it a Commercial product, but people that are making a mod with should not put a paywall in front of people that want to play with the mod. Like for example, I want to download a mod from CurseForge, but I need to pay money to download it because the person that made the mod used a Commercial product that he/she paid for. This is against the EULA of Minecraft.
The thing that you want to do is fine, but if people want to earn money (without, ad.fly etc.) and strait-up put a paywall in front of you, is bad. In the past I had a problem with it, got out of it, but I don't want it to happen again, for anyone

Hope this clears it more up for what I am worried about. The overall idea, is very good, and I like it. But I also see people miss use it as well...

I have an idea to put a new interface for the blocks, the items, the meals, the tools, the armor, and the weapons.
this new interface that I think or want to put in creator, that can decide which blocks, or items, or foods, or tools, or armor, or weapons, to decide which objects have one or some possibilities that is generated, in a chests of a structure or a structure of the minecraft, or that has a possibility or possibilities that is generated, in a structure or a structure of other mods for minecraft, this new interface that I thought, can generate the objects that are generated in the chests of minecraft. minecraft or other mods structures, will be generated in the chests of minecraft structures or other mods, but puende generse generatly the objects that puise that are generated in the chests of the structures of minecraft or other mods

Ok first of all this seems a bit like a bad move, i always hate when a free software moves toward paid access.
I dont think this is a good idea,
