Issue comments

Go to the .gradle folder (in your user home dir: C:\Users\USERNAME\.gradle\). Open "caches" folder and then "minecraft". In there delete the "versionJsons" folder. After you do this, try to reinstall MCreator. If you have any existing workspaces, export them, make a fresh install and try again. Please report back if this works.

After you delete versionJsons, you might not have to reinstall MCreator but just open it again.
