Hi! I was wondering if it would be possible to map external textures(say 'minecraft:blocks/diamond_ore') to external models (perhaps 'mod1:block/crystal') for resource pack compatibility and licensing reasons. I was thinking when choosing a texture, there would be a button in the top right to let you toggle between browsing your mod's textures, and an 'Other', which would show a textbox for what to put in the texture variable(i.e. "0": "[user input here]") or the model parent. This would be super helpful. Thanks!
Also perhaps include a vanilla data list of all the vanilla texture names and models.
