I keep trying to find a way to fly in survival when holding an item or wearing a but not doing it permanently

You might have luck by giving levitation potion for one tick to the player on item holding tick trigger.
Thanks thats good idea I will definitely try that but how do I make work when the player is wearing the suit and holds the key it works not when the player just has it in its inventory but when its in the players armor slot
I just tried using the levitation effect for my armor it was great and useful but just not for what I'm trying to make is there anyway to make my armor fly like when shooting fireworks in a elytra
I'm trying to make a iron man suit with an elytra animation that flys if thats helpful
You can detect item in mainhand and you could try using this.
do you mean to make an elytra animation
The animation would be way of out MCreator scope at the moment.
But is there any way I can possibly animate my player like the elytra myself and if so can you recommend me how I know how to make 3d models but do you know any programs that are good for animating if so please link me to them if you can thanks for your quick responses hope you have a good day thanks again
