Topic category: Help with MCreator software
I need someone to help me make models for my mod. I've tried doing it myself on blockbench but they constantly end up smaller than vexes (I would show a screenshot but i've no idea how) can someone pls help me?
I suggest you check our tutorials collection playlist on our YouTube channel which contains many examples and tutorials that can help you get started with MCreator: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAeL-oIFIEngE6jRgFYeFMfuj8WQsO3Ei
There are quite a few modeler tutorials there.
You do realise there is a Blockbench plugin that gets you any mob?
Try tabula, it might help you with the scale issue
Hey, I can't quite make the models for you, but I can give you a few hints. First of all, make sure you are updated, there is an option in one of the drop menus to look for updates. Now search for another that says "PLUGINS" and look up the bedrock generator or something like that. You can download the others if you want, it doesn't matter.
Now, you want to start a new project, and go to make a Living entity or something, just make sure it says java for mobs. If you try to make it as an object, you will not be able to export it as java and upload it into MCreator.
The name and geometry aren't important now, but you'll have to come for them latter, just keep it in mind. Go to the Plugin menu again and select the bedrock that you downloaded, and there is a list with many models already made there. Now, there are some details, the villager is missing the front parts of their arms I think, but if you are only having problem with size, that should help you as a base. Choose the one you want and make sure to select the first option, "create a... something" it says, before clicking OK.
You can now modify them to make them look however you want. Just a recomendation, in the folders that appeared, select one that would be the "main", I often choose the body, and drop the others inside. I don't know if this is neccesary, but I do it anyway.
If you still don't understand me, tell me and I'll try to look up a tutorial I saw some time ago that helped me understand it.
Ah! Also, the thing about the names. When you use the bedrock models, it changes the name of the geometry to something like "geometry.something" and MCreator doesn't like the dot. Just put whatever you want that doesn't have dots or spaces before you export it.
