Does the entity that the mob hit with item trigger provides mean the player or the mob that was hit (target or hunter)?

you want to hit mob with sword that has effect?
I want to effect the mob that was hit, yes.
create a sword,then moving on until you find procedure tab called "mob is hit with tool".In this tab if you go to the entity tab you can choose effect for example you can effect your sword with wither effect or levitation etc.Then if you done this and you choose effect
save this.
