detect what gem is at x y z

hi im making a mod on mcreator 2020.2 1.12.2. did u ever see a mod when u drop a item with another item , it give something. like ae2, when u drop redstone, nether quartz and charged  certus quartz, it give fluix crystal, is it possible to do something like that?
