"White Window of Doom"

Issue description

I've only seen 2 reports of this problem so far, one of which was mine. This error seems to be caused by failure to load the UI core, because every time it happens, MCreator's loading screen ALWAYS gets stuck on "Loading UI core." I have seen this error in 2020.4, I haven't seen it 2020.3, but I did run into it in 2020.2 not too long ago, after having seen it in 2020.4, although you would only really care about 2020.4. A better description of what happens is that when the UI core fails to load, the MCreator window renders as a blank white window, hence the name I have given it. In this window, you can still interact with things, but every window will be white. I have no idea how to fix this for those who are having this error, but hopefully we can find a solution.

Unfortunately, I don't know what this is causing this so I can't do much.

Maybe consider checking <user home>/.mcreator/logs and provide one of the logs when this happened and attach it here.

I do not have 2020.4 installed right now, but i'll get to it later. Should I send a log from 2020.2 [what I have installed because I'm trying to finish up the 1.12.2 version of my mod before 1.16] or is that out of the question?

Provide 2020.4 log and use 1.12.2 plugin if possible. Older versions are not supported and won't have bugs fixed

Error log does not indicate anything, so I am afraid I don't know why this is so.

Try running as admin, updating GPU drivers, and reinstalling MCR.

I can confirm that my GPU drivers are up to date, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling MCR, and I'll try running as Admin.

If this doesn't work, I'll probably stick with 2020.2 until 1.16.x support is available. I've noticed that 2020.3 changed something about the texture directories and basically makes it so that I can't save things directly to a folder to use them or edit textures and I have to import them because I'm using external software to edit textures. In any case though, Thanks for the help!

You misunderstood this as newer versions use a single directory, same as other mods, for textures exactly to allow you inline editing.

There is now single location for textures instead of two redundant locations.

Ah, ok. Where should this directory be? Also running as admin didn't work, but I'll use 2020.4 if I know where the directory is.
