Rundown: I can't seem to figure out how to recreate the code that causes farmland to turn into dirt.
I want to create a clone of farmland using a custom dirt/grass block that, when right clicked with a hoe, will turn into the farmland.
I have figured out the height, and how to make my custom dirt turn into my custom farmland when right clicked with a hoe.
I just can't seem to figure out how to clone the mechanism for jumping on farmland to turn it into dirt, or if it has no water, etc.

I attempted to set the random possibility event to >50% but it always decayed too fast.
I am now discovering that I also need help figuring out how to make it turn into dirt when a block is placed on tip of it.

I know it's been a while since your question, but try the trigger "when neighbourblock changes" and check if the y+1 block is solid, then use the "replace block" to replace your block with dirt
