How can I make a structure generate as seen in the Binding of Minecraft mod?

How can I get structures to generate like this?

I have the blocks that spawn new rooms in, and they all generate in not only the wrong directions, but I also don't know how to make the rooms randomized as seen in this mod.

Any tips are appreciated!
