Lol, nope, it won't be useless.
1) people often play on older versions, *especially* if they use mods
2) it will take time until any mod will be converted to 1.17, and it happens AFTER a release, not before. Modders (and, in this case, MCreator team) need to know code changes of stable release. There's no point of making mod compatibile for snapshots, as it would mean constant changing, and it means wasting a lot of time
3) there's still a lot of time for 1.17 to even be released - Mojang told it will be at the half of the year, but let be honest - guessing from snapshots, they didn't introduce a lot of things, so it can be even closer to the end of the year. 1.17 can be (and seems to be) biggest update Minecraft will get from really long time (if not ever)
The forge for 1.17 will definitely release as long as the creators of forge don't quit. MCreator will most likely update to 1.17, but I am not a developer so I am not 100% sure.
Dude forge and 1.17 are out for SO LONG and im getting so tired of waiting, i said to my friend that im gonna make mods for our smp and im STILL. WAITING.
I dont know how hard is it to code all the stuff, but since youre one of the most popular mod makers youve gotta do something about it, ive searched pretty much the whole internet and didnt found a mcreator for 1.17. I think yall got some explaining to do
i think going be on 1.18 and then in 2023 want if 1.17 is already out then it will be in 2023 mcreator and in 2027 on windows 11 will mcreator there release want window 11 need better update if it beta like same in windows 10 release version want in 2025 will windows 10 will no more work with servers it shut down and we have on too move on too windows 11 from 2025 that what Microsoft will do and then mcreator have too support and licence to come windows 11
Lol you complaining guys. MCreator, if you don't know, is based on Forge API. There is no legitimate Forge version for 1.17 by now, and if you ever try to play *any* Forge mods on 1.17, you will see there is actually *none*. Yeah, Forge developers are kinda slow, but this has nothing to do with MCreator. And no matter who is to blame for not having 1.17 version, MCreator devs are working hard adding a lot of great features recently, so you two guys are extremely unfair.
But meh, I think you won't even listen to me, since your comments sound so demanding, like wtf. If you need your mod so fast, then switch the heck off to Fabric, and code it yourself. If you want Forge, then well, even coding yourself won't help since there's no 1.17 Forge by far. It's just a bit of investigation why there's no MCreator for 1.17, not demanding this and that, like you are the most important people in the world. You most probably didn't even donate anything to make it happen [faster].
The reasons i said what i said is because even when i do use MCreator it just keeps crashing when i hover over something for too long. So overall my MCreator experience isnt very good (and i also dont know how to code) and the fact that even after all this time, it will most likely keep crashing anyways, just makes me confused and frustrated
Another factor about why i said what i said is because i had an absolutley GARBAGE day the day i posted this, like nothing was going my way everything i touched fell and stuff like that, so i was just really, REALLY pissed at the world, and ik i shouldnt of throw this anger here but it is what it is
Now that were all clear on that i just wanna say that i dont hate anyone or anything remotely close to that, and i know coding can sometimes be very hard and time-consuming, i also know that theyre trying their best to do it ASAP. I probaby just have a bad perception about how much time and effort is needed to make smt like that.
P.S.: Ignore any grammar mistakes, because im not english, im in my bed right now and its almost midnight, i felt like i had to make this clear cuz i kinda felt bad
For your crashing problem, I'd suggest using GitHub issue tracker, it's the fastest way to let developers know about your crashing problem. Make sure you use the latest stable version (2021.1). I can only wish you good luck to find a way to solve that.
And sure, that's understandable, everyone can have bad day. This is why I try not to post anything while in bad mood, because it often ends up being more of a hassle than it could be x)
And sorry for any harsh words that I could use in previous message, I just feel so frustrated on people demanding things fast... I see that Mojang gets a lot of criticism while having probably the best community politics ever, and similarly with MCreator, it just felt so unfair - especially as MCreator recently added some really cool features that will be in next update. But still, I could use softer words anyway.
Thanks for the kind feedback, and No, I did not find any of your words harsh, because I understand your frustrarion ( it was almost like mine xD ) at people that post stuff like I did a couple of replys up. And yes, thanks, i will check out GitHub issue tracker as soon as i will be able to.

Article "The future".
So theres no 1.17? cause 1.17 is right around the corner so the 1.16.5 would be useless
You do know it will take some time for forge to update to 1.17 anyway so the 1.16.5 full MCreator release version wouldn't be useless
Lol, nope, it won't be useless.

Exactly
Im sorry idk any thing about the 1.17... I thought if 1.17 release the forge will also release 1.17 i dont know how it works
The forge for 1.17 will definitely release as long as the creators of forge don't quit. MCreator will most likely update to 1.17, but I am not a developer so I am not 100% sure.
