I mean, come on. I know it's to prevent spam or something, but it's not that big of a deal, right? Atleast make it 1 month.

It is because spammers used profile descriptions to harvest links
And it is hard to moderate user profiles so 2-month limit
1 month turned out to be too small as some spammers wait a bit before spamming
can you remove the waiting if someone asks?
No because the system is automatic. After initial 2 months you will be able to freely edit it anytime
