No permission to open latest snapshot on Mac

Hi! I've been using Mcreator for a while and wanted to update to the recent 2021.2 snapshot. However, upon installation and attempted opening, it tells me I don't have permission to open this software. I poked around in the "Get Info" options to try and give myself permission to open the application, but none seemed to work.

For reference, I attempted to change my permissions to "Read and Write" from "Read" (No change), I tried to make myself the owner of the document (would not let me), and I tried a redownload (no luck).

If there are any other Mac Mcreator users who know what's going wrong, the help would be much appreciated!
