Topic category: Help with MCreator software
If you are facing the same problem, I found a solution that worked for me, I posted it in the comments.
Hello there!
I have installed MCreator 2021.1 moments ago, and I'm trying to make a new workspace. All is well, until it starts the "Stopping Running Gradle Daemons", it gives me the yellow icon and moves on to the next step, shown in the image below:
After a while, it gives me this error: https://pastebin.com/qNurZk45
I've looked through the knowledge page and nothing that it suggests helped me, I've made sure to stop my fire wall; add an exception to it; use a reliable internet connection (4g); running a VPN; rebooting the system and removing the gradle files (and in vice vera). Nothing I've done seems to help.
I have recently reinstalled Win10 on my laptop, updated everything and all is good, but the new version of MCreator doesn't seem to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Aiden.
[ EDIT: I was able to download the file from https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-6.8.1-all.zip, but I'm unsure what to do with it, can I install it manually? ]
Try running as an administrator
This yellow warning is nothing to worry of
I tried running as an administrator, it didn't work.
So far still no luck..
Even if the yellow warning isn't a problem, I still can't create a new workspace
PROBLEM FIXED:
For those who face a similar problem, it was the VPN that I was using that caused this issue. For some reason, I am able to download the individual files from the sources but MCreator couldn't. So I changed to an another VPN (I used Windscribe), and the problem is fixed!
Thanks for everyone to tried to help. For some reason, MCreator and my network were goofing up. All is good now.
