Hello, I am new to minecraft modding, I know some programming but I barely touched Java.
I am currently trying to creating a Morter and Pestle work station but no matter how much i try, I can't get it to work. The crafting station is used to mix and grind items into a single material. The first crafting recipe i am making is for Wet Heaps, which will be later be used for Niter if put in a furnace. I am pressing the Mix and Grind button and nothing is happening. Any suggestions on what I can do? (Here is the GUI and block code)

Have you made sure that the button is connected to the procedure?
You have to use the "Get a copy of item from slot ... of block at x y z if it has inventory" instead of the currently open GUI
Sorry for late reply, I had lot of stuff happened irl and I don't have access to minecraft and my computer. But I will try you guys advice.
