Will MCreator make a Forge generator plugin for 1.17.1?
As far as I read MCreator topics on Fabric plugin/2nd-3rd snapshots (I suggest just reading it, it makes a lot of information obvious and not needing to be asked), MCreator will rather just move/add generator to 1.17.1 eventually. There's no reason of making plugin for that, not even sure if 2021.1/2021.2 snapshots could support that, considering a lot of technical changes 1.17 made.
Long story short, we should be patient :3
Were waiting for Klemen. (Or Matej.)
1.17 uses J16, MCreator uses J11, so many changes will be needed in the core and the whole generator has to be rewritten for official mappings. It will take quite some time ;)

Precise date is not known, but there are already snapshots that give you possibilities to do mods for 1.17.1 (remember to back up your workspace though).
