i was prompted to update mcreator, so i did

mcreator was permanantly stuck like this when i tried to open it.
this sucks. i rely on mcreator to work on my mod, and there are a lot of things that ive fixed, that i havent been able to upload to curseforge yet.
i thought i had fixed this by installing the .zip version of mcreator. it worked at first, however did not work subsequent times.

it still does this.
the only thing i could possibly think is different is i changed the amount of ram mcreator is allowed to use to 8gigs instead of default before i updated.
I'd also like to point out that i can click on things on the window, i just cant see anything. i can even open a workspace, but the workspace is also just blank white.
EDIT: it was not ram. i figured it out i think. i deleted my preferences file and opened mcreator, this fixed it. i had a custom theme and i think thats why it broke.
I guess installer is broken. Try the zip archive version, it should work.
figured out the issue
It turns out when i uninstalled the old one, java was running in the background, which i guess means some files for that didnt get deleted when i uninstalled the old one. so i closed all instances of java open and deleted everything in the pylo folder in my program files. this allowed it to install normally.
k seems like that did not fix the issue, i lied, ill try the zip version then.

turns out this did not work. it only opened for me once, and after the initial opening of the program it just went right back to not working
