I keep having to reupload my mod. For some reason, it keeps getting taken down. Why?
I just want to know. Because there were never comments, it was always unpublished. Powertripping moderator? Rogue? Or a site bug?
Because you're uploading the .zip workspace instead of the .jar mod file
Not exactly. I can only refer to one unpublishing case, but I unpublished it because mod had image not following the rules - but since second image was okay and description was nearly okayish, I left the comment. Unfortunately, I assume mod got deleted quicker and you could not read my comment by that time.
As for the mod in its current state, it is nearly valid: I'd suggest expanding description a bit (like you can tell short story about new biomes or something like that) and adding one-two screenshots more. It is probably not required anymore, since it feels like it follows the guidelines this time, but it could make it more interesting.
For the unpublishings, none of us (moderators) are powertripping, but we get a lot of spam/bad-quality mods and even though we try to be mild towards new mods, we need to unpublish the ones that are not following the rules. If the time between unpublishing and deletion was short, it was probably unfortunate event.
Thank you Tomi. I'll look into that. Currently at Choir rn.

Plus Reupload 1 was unpublished while I was asleep.
