Topic category: Feature requests and ideas for MCreator
Apparently, there is a 20MB limit to modification files. So...if my mod is 50MB which according to the mod upload page which was been super glitchy for me lately my beta version is 50MB, that means...I can not even get close to uploading the full version which would probably 200MB. So if I can't upload mods above 20MB...I can't upload mods.
My upload page has been SUPER buggy and laggy lately so this information may not be correct, because I'm pretty sure my mod is not 3x bigger than a Minecraft world.
I'm using Microsoft Edge but this is in the feature requests and ideas section not the bug report section, so you're here for a feature request, right?
My request is to make the limit much much higher than 20MB. Like why the heck can't I upload my mod with only 140 mod elements? Why??!?!????
Because disk space costs money and if you noticed, you can upload mods for free.
So if we get more donations, we may be able to increase this limit in the future.
If your mod with 140 elements is that big, you should definitely look into reducing texture size, Minecraft is not meant for Full HD textures
I do not have any HD textures, I have like the tiniest textures in the world.
And yes...I've noticed, uploading mods is free.
But anyway, my textures suck.
They are not HD and probably never will be.
My mod is over 700 elements and its 23MB. I would open .jar and check which file is the largest.
Make a mediafire account and link the file if its over 20MB.

Question:
My mod is 140 elements.
Yours is 700.
My mod is 50MB.
Your mod is 23MB.
...
No.
CurseForge is the main hub for mods, that's where most people will be looking for and finding mods. Why would you restrict yourself and only upload it here?
Sorry for the very late response (it's almost April of 2022), I don't have a Twitch account, and I'm not going through making one just to log-in to CurseForge. However, when the new log-in options are available, I will probably start uploading my mods there as well as MCreator.
