Topic category: Help with MCreator software
ive been trying to create several variations of the slime, however after trying for hours it seems mcreator just doesnt support translucent/opacity changes on mobs? even in mcreator the model and texture both display as being see through, but when launched shows only the outer texture of the slime, completely solid instead of what its shown as in the software. ive seen versions of this question asked before with no answer so its probably a long shot but, is there anything that can be done to fix this? or is it just a software limitation?
there is a pre programed slime model in mcreator. make sure that you texture file makes it look see-though. if it does not appear to be see-though I would recommend that you edit the texture in an external photo or picture editor.
@cmartin ive tried, for whatever reason the outside layer isnt shown, despite tries from using the official slime texture, my texture, and others for checking. the texture file itself is shown as semi transparent when opened in mcreator or even seen when pulling up the texture in the entity creation tab, just cant figure out why it wont display
Short answer, you can't. Without messing with the rendering code or something.
