There is a way to do this that is very simple. Go to the .minecraft file and then open "Versions". Inside, you'll find all the different versions of minecraft. open up any one of them with the slime and copy the jar file. put it basically anywhere and change it a zip file via renaming. open it, open the folder named assets, then minecraft, then textures, then entity, then slime, and then you'll find slime.png, which is the texture for the slime.

the outer layer doesnt show, how do i fix it? (i used the 1.18 jar file, my mcreator version is 2022.1)
Make sure the texture mapping is correct. you can use BlockBench to change it. Also be sure there is a second layer on the mob.
The out layer(translucent texture) isn't supported in Mcreator.
