soo im making a mod where when u hold the sword you get health boost effect, but the thing is when i test it whenever i start to go into the health effect il take damage. im not sure if i explained that very good, but if u didnt understand whenever i heal past the normal 10 hearts i start taking damage so i never go above ten hearts. PLSSSS HELP
Try
If: get item from provided itemstack: (custom_sword)
Do: 'apply potion effect minecraft:health_boost lvl (number of hearts here) for 2 ticks' to event target entity.
If that doesn't work, I can try and give a screenshot.
Okay, a little update: turns out the closest I can make it is when the item is in your inventory, but a little tweaking might fix that.
ive just checked this, but the image isnt working so if you could try to resend it or make a link that would be nice
so what ive done is make a trigger that is when the item is being held...
but the effect is being added, just whenever i heal past the normal ten hearts i take damage until im down to ten
Then try Absorbtion?
thats actually a good idea, but that basically makes me invincible, cuz it is aplying the affect every tick
i think this is an isseu to go in the bug tracker, il have to check if its a minercfat bug or an mcreator bug
ok ive tested it, its only when the sword gives the effect, so ima put it in the bug tracker
