Make the block that should have the radius and then go to triggers and make a procedure for block update tick. In there you get the execute command block and in it you type the following command:
fill ~5 ~5 ~5 ~-5 ~-5 ~-5 air replace fire. You can change the numbers as long as they are all the same number to match the radius you want.
