Unable to Create New Forge Mod

So I am trying to create a new forge mod after just downloading MCreator and when I click the button to begin the project it starts loading and gets stuck on "setting up gradle project". I have tried a few things such as optimizing performance, increasing the initial and maximum memory allowed for the program, I tried getting a better network connection, I turned off antivirus and checked my firewall, reinstalled multiple times, cleared cash after rebooting the computer, and cleared the whole gradle file after rebooting my computer. None of these worked and I cant figure out anything else to make it work.
