Villagers not trading?

Hey everyone, for some reason Villagers in my client aren't trading anymore.  Like, I open the trading GUI and give them an item and they take it, but they don't make the usual trading sounds and I don't get any XP from the interaction.  Then, when I open the GUI again, I get my items back as if the trading never happened!  I've tried everything I can think of to fix this: regenerating the code, clearing Gradle's cache, and even deleting the Gradle folder, but nothing's working.  Not really sure what to do so I'm wondering if anyone has any advice, cause I need trading to work, both for its own sake and because I'm planning on adding a new profession and trades to my mod.  I've added a link to my workspace (let me know if it doesn't work) just in case there's a problem in there I couldn't find.  Thanks!
