Trying to add my other MCreator mod into my main mod's workspace

I have been trying for many months to add my smaller mod into my main mod's workspace so I can incorporate the smaller mod's items into recipes. I have looked up several tutorials and none seem to help, most of them seem to focus on the coding side of MCreator. I recently tried to go into the workspace settings and under the external api tab inside the "additonal required mods" section i put "prismatic-end-1.0.2". Prismatic End is the name of the smaller mod i want to incorporate and the 1.0.2 is the specific version number I want to use.
