Not sure if this is a mcreator bug or something on my end so I'm putting it here
I get this error:

This happens in my 1.20.1 forge mods and when I try to make a new one. Will update if I solve, but it is an issue.
forge is down for now
I legit just figured this out XD, odd that its down, guess I'll work on it later
should be working now

If the Maven service is down, gradle won't work and there is nothing you can do other than wait. It's not on MCreator's side but rather on Forge's. If Klemen sees this, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to add this info to this page https://mcreator.net/wiki/gradle-setup-errors#wiki-index-5
