So I've made a giant angry cow/bull mob. It's nasty and chases you, but still not quite dangerous enough. I happened across the procedure block for setting something on fire, so I thought perfect! When it's angry having the bull erupt into flames is just the right amount of OMG! Buuuut I've done something wrong with the procedure setup, instead of setting the bull on fire when its mad it's setting ME on fire! I suspect the procedure is targeting me, because I have it set to only happen at normal and hard difficulties, when I triggered the failsafe of changing the difficulty to easy it extinguished me... the procedure is linked to the bull but it's effecting me, how do I change or designate the bull as the event/target entity? Thanks!
Anyone??
lol u have to put the procedure in the mobs tick update. It seems from how you're describing it you aren't doing that and just making a procedure on the players instead.
Do it like this place an "if" block in the entities tickupdate and then check if the mob sets its attack target. Then just simply use that block to set it on fire. If u want just the flame particles use /particle command or block to do that.
Thankyou! I got it working now, The bull mob starts spitting out flame particles when it gets within melee range of me now, and then it sets me on fire while I'm in melee range, as soon as I leave melee range I extinguish. That's pretty much the effect I was going for. n_n
Thats cool!! glad u got it working.
