I created a block model at https://web.blockbench.net/ and uploaded it to mcreator. I set it to rotate (s/w/n/e - rotation from player side). But in practice, it doesn't rotate in any position. What did I do wrong in Blockbench? How can I make it rotate when placed?
works fine for me, in latest anyway,

it doesn't work for me, (tested on mcreator versions: 2020.5, 2021.2)
um but that model wouldn't change when rotated around the y axis, would it?
yes, but I would like it to rotate in every direction and not in a circle, I would like the side with the "rod" to be positioned towards the block, like a lever.
I don't think you can it to rotate exactly like a lever but try this,
I know that turning it like a lever worked for me, but in newer versions of mCreator, but with the same settings in old, I see that it doesn't work and I was wondering if I was doing something wrong...
I tested all configurations and I see that it doesn't work in old versions... I think it only worked in versions 2023+...
what if you make your model not just a perfectly centered rod? it could be you just can't see it rotation
it rotates around an axis (because it is in the middle) so you can't see its rotation, but I would like it to rotate on a given side and not on an axis.
yeah so make the model in blockbench "attached" to like the north or south side of the bounds
it was south

You were right, changing direction to north/south solved the problem, thanks :)
You will always find a solution :)
awesome! :3
