Textures don't fit in properly

Hi so I create a texture (On Nova skin) And I save it. I know I have to resize it to 16 x 16 so I use a resizer tool. Its 16 x 16 and when I add it in its like blurry and slightly transparent. Is there a fix for that? Cause for minecraft 1.8 its fine.

First, DO NOT SPAM - THIS IS

First, DO NOT SPAM - THIS IS NOT 4CHAN - BUMPS ARE NOT APPRECIATED

You didnt even wait more than 10 minutes :/

Second, NovaSkin extrudes crap through a thin straw and does not handle Alpha layers well. Its laggy, outdated, and limited in its capabilities. You would be better off using Gimp 2.0.

Textures do not need to be 16x16, just multiples of 16x (32x, 64x, etc) and you should export them directly into that size and format, not use a resizer that can be buggy and mess up your exif/image data.

Gimp 2.0. You can download

Gimp 2.0. You can download alllll the same textures and templates online, or take them directly from your Minecrafts resources, then just open the .png images in Gimp and edit them as you wish. Its essentially the poor mans photoshop, and super easy to learn.
