Topic category: Help with MCreator software
So I was just working on this mod for fun and my PC crashed whilst I was working. And when I rebooted my PC and turned on MCreator and tried to launch my workspace, it just froze the application. I could open the other ones but not this one. I think it got corrupted or something, and I'd like to know if there is a way to resolve this or if this is a lost cause.
Thanks

Go to your user profile and make a copy of your workspace folder in a different location, then uninstall and reinstall mcreator 1.9.1 then move the workspace folder back if it got deleted (Im always cautious) This should fix the application
Where is the user profile? Sorry I'm new to MCreator and modding in general.
Also I'm using a .rar version because the one you have to install won't work for some reason.
I've reinstalled MCreator and now when I put in my workspace in the directory it doesn't get recognized.
Your user profile will be found under
C:\Users\
Inside your profile there will be a folder named
MCreatorWorkspaces
copy that folder to your Desktop, then reinstall Mcreator, after that you can drag it back to your user profile
You have to restart MCreator to get the workspaces to update.
About the workspace whereabouts, I have found them. And I obviously restarted MCreator, more than once.
Hmm Klemen might need to help with this, im not super good with the software stuff
Aight but thanks for trying to help. How could I contact Klemen? I've seen him post on other post while looking around to fix this but I don't know.
Its alright ill shoot him an email
Thanks
Go to <workspace folder>/.mcreator/workspaceBackups and copy one of the workspace backups from the time before the crash and replace the <modid>.mcreator workspace file in <workspace folder> with one of the backups. Make sure to rename the backup to <modid>.mcreator when replacing the original file.
I've tried to do that but when I tried to reinstall my mcreator it removed all my workspaces besides the one I was working on. I didn't think of doing that. I assume my mod is gone at this point.
(It didn't remove the workspace I was working on, because I dragged it out onto my desktop).
