3D Armor with Resource Pack?

I want to make a Resource Pack that gives the Netherite Armor set a new, 3D model.

I don't want to make a Mod that adds a new armor set, just a Resource Pack.

Is this possible without Mods? If so, how would i do it, and if not, what Mods would i need?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
