How would you go about making an overshield type thing (like in Halo)? I want it to absorb damage for you, depleting energy as it does so. After about 5 seconds without taking damage, it recharges. If you take damage while the shield is down, it subtracts from your health.
What if each time the shield blocks damage, a variable goes down. When it is equal to 0, the shield gets a cool down for 100 ticks (5 seconds).
