(SOLVED) Why are my blockbench models darker than vanilla blocks?

hi, I'm making this extremely cool banana plant, and to make it cooler i added some 3D bananas to its bunch, the problem, the top model is very obviously darker than the other built in/vanilla blocks. this wouldn't be too big of a deal if it wasn't for the fact this is a double tall crop and you can literally see the seem on the blocks! here's an example:

awful banana with ugly shading

aaaaah its so ugly to look at i really hope any of yall know how to fix this! any suggestions will basically cure this block so thanks!

ignore all of that i FIXED IT!!!!! so at the top of the screen click File > Project, then you'll have a pop up screen and be sure that ambient occlusion is OFF, then press F4 and it will bring up new properties on your cubes, click all the stars to make them hollow, then export the model and your model should be fixed!
