How to make a diet

So i am making an addon to my origins expansion mod and i want to make a diet, where you can only eat meat / not meat, with some exceptions like golden apples. bread, etc.
i made this inside origins but it doesn't work anymore and idk how to fix it.

Is there any way to make such a thing and maybe it being able to check other mods like farmers delight foods to also see what a person can eat or cannot
